Abstract:

The collection here dealt with comprises the Arctiidae, Noctuidae, and Sphingidae taken in the islands of French Oceania during the course of the "St. George" Expedition, 1925-25, to which have been added those obtained by Miss L.E. Cheesman, after leaving the expedition, in the islands of Tahiti, Raiatea and Bora Bora (Society Islands). The collecting from the "St. George" was carried out by Miss C.E. Longfield and the author, with occassional assistance from other members of the expedition.
